When you belong to Viriva Community Credit Union you become a cooperative member of an organization that exists to serve the financial needs of... it's members!
Deposits in Viriva are federally-insured, up to $250,000.
We are a community credit union that serves anyone who lives, works, attends school, volunteers or worships in Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania.

Not-for-Profit; Lower fees and rates:
Credit unions are not-for-profit, which means that any excess income is generally returned to benefit our members in the form of lower fees and better rates of interest (higher Certificate rates, lower Loan rates), as well as low-cost services. |
Traditional Banking Products:
Although different from a bank, our Credit Union offers a wide variety of financial products and services, including (but not limited to): Savings, Checking, IRAs, Term Share Certificates, First Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, New & Used Vehicle Loans, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Online Account Access, Electronic Bill Pay and more.

Owner vs. Stockholder:
As opposed to a bank, where only the stock holders are owners, all members of our Credit Union are owners, as long as they have at least a $5.00 balance on deposit.

Cooperative Nature:
Credit Union's were built on the philosophy of 'People Helping People'. As a cooperative organization, our Credit Union strives to live this philosophy everyday as we provide services that all of our members need, in addition to being active participants in the communities we serve. |
Democratic Control:
Credit Union members elect a volunteer Board of Directors to represent their interests. Our WHO page talks more about our specific Board of Directors. We are always looking for active volunteers, so let us know if you have any interest in serving on a committee or running for our Board of Directors. |
