Introducing the other side of Viriva
Why does Viriva have two web sites? Great question! We've created www.virivapeople.coop to show you another side of Viriva Community Credit Union, including its' cooperative nature, and to highlight some of our employees and members, so you can see for yourself why Viriva is different.
You may recall our recent TV Giveaway Loan Promotion...

Save your card... Your action is needed!
It happens every day: you make a purchase with your debit or credit card, the merchant is paid, and the credit union that issued your card receives interchange from the merchant. Interchange reflects a merchant's fair share of the cost of this convenient system. However this convenience could be eliminated if Congress gets their way!
|
 |
| Senator Durbin has introduced an Interchange Fee amendment to the Financial Reform Bill that will seriously impact the amount of interchange income the CU receives from merchants when our members use their debit and credit cards to purchase goods. If this language is not removed from the final bill our credit union, as well as many others, may need to either discontinue offering such card programs or implement new fees to offset this lost income. |
CHANGES IN
INTERCHANGE ARE NOT
PRO-CONSUMER! |
We are urging our members to tell congress to oppose changes to the current interchange system and remove the Interchange Amendment from the Financial Reform Bill!
Due to the time sensitive nature of this campaign we are urging that you call as soon as possible. Please dial (toll free) 877-223-5275 and listen to the recorded message to get connected to the member of congress in your area.
